FALL FINDS
47
Pine-needle nimble and round~
How you fall to sprinkle the ground…
White smooth rock upon the driveway wall~
How the weeds cover you now it is fall…
Leaves of all colors flutter you do down~
Brisk winds trickle you all around…
Angel hunched by the garden bench~
Dried flowers do surround you all withered and spent…
Kitty you chase imaginary things in the leaves~
While they are tussled and moved by each passing breeze…
Sun how you work hard now~
That summer is no where to be found…
Garden how you’ve become over grown~
Causing any lingering fruits and vegetables~
To moan and groan…
Geese I see your Vee noisy as can be~
Flying south in the sky determined and free…
Fall your finds are everywhere~
Although elusive you can be unless~
People take the time to see your affair…
